Gigabyte is among the best nowadays, especially with the 900 series cards. Not sure what you guys are on about concerning that.

Their motherboards are great as well, especially in the high end range. ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte are the top dogs of mobos

I use the gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 mobo and I love it. Running an 8320 and for graphics im using the Gigabyte r9 280x rev2.0. Awesome card and botherboard. I would recommend an AMD Card over a Nvidia card. AMD Cards are just built for raw power whereas nvidia cards are like intel IMO. Just good at optimizing and not really considered about power. Thats why nvidia cards arent good for bitcoin mining because they dont have the raw processing power AMD cards are built to have.

Nvidia is currently the best option right now for GPUs if you want the best performance (GTX 970, 980). AMD however is coming out with a new line of GPUs in 2015 (3xx I think) which will probably perform better than the 900 cards (unless Nvidia releases a 980 Ti). That's usually how it works, Nvidia is best one year, then AMD, then Nvidia, etc

I was talking about just gaming performance but yeah AMD still crushes nvidia in bitcoin mining. AFAIK it's more to do with the architecture differences rather than raw performance
You really can't go wrong with either when it comes to gaming |
